The visual above is when the Holy Spirit fell upon the disciples of Jesus on the day of Pentecost in Acts ch. 2, - tongues of fire appeared to rest on each person as they spoke by inspiration of the Spirit, or spirits. Fire is not only symbolic of Gods spirit but also his angels, "for he makes his angels spirits and his ministers as flames of fire". - so this can refer to angelic tongues or earthly ones, for the Spirit of 'God' is the breath behind all language, so connects and coordinates all dimensions.
"In the beginning was the Word (logos), and the word was within 'God', and the word was divine" - John 1:1 - From the womb of creation the holy sound-current and informing principle, the 'OM', the 'Tao', the sacred Naam, Vak, shabda, all refer to the creative speech orchestrating the informing of all creation. All language is both symbolic and creative, working thru consciousness and spirit in all substance and form. Me: I sometimes speak in tongues when I pray or praise God, its a beautiful spiritual language inspired by the Holy Spirit,...this is more popular in christian communities as a gift of the Spirit, the galactic community and starseeds use a soul language called 'light language', it is very similar, a language of spirit and feeling on a higher level than the intellect. So I come from a christian biblical context on the subject of tongues, but am open to the validity of 'light language' used in the new age community too.
